The fibers on horse rawhide are tighter and smoother than on cow rawhide even though horse rawhide tends to be lighter than cow rawhide. Horse rawhide is also stronger than cow rawhide. This 4 strand round braid, sometimes referred to as bolo cord, is used for trim and many types of jewelry. It is made from dyed and waxed cotton cord. It is hand braided around a cord to prevent stretch. It comes in two widths and is put up on 25-yard (75 foot) spools. The 3 mm spools weigh ~4-5.5 oz. These bracelets are made from approximately 16 cowrie shells and wax cord. They measure about 7" long or 12" long including braided end. They weigh about 0.3 oz.  The shells are a creamy natural yellow color and are not as white as the shells on the Style 1 bracelets. A USFWS export permit is required for all shipments outside the USA.
